Yesterday, D, E and I embarked on a journey outside of our neighbourhood for Sunday brunch. Our desired destination was Starving Artist, on the opposite side of town. Their menu consists of waffles, waffles and more waffles...including a gluten free variety (sidebar, until recently, gluten free brunch options have been hard to find). What we didn't realize (because it wasn't listed on their website) was that it was International Waffle Day. What a line up!
We quickly scrapped that plan, weaved our way out of some insane traffic and wound up at Cardinal Rule.
The service was amazing (they were very baby friendly - even brought a toy dinosaur to the table for E to play with) and the food was delicious. D had the Cowboy Benny and I had the Hawaiian Stuffed French Toast made with gluten free bread.
It was a great date with my two guys!
