{ maple syrup }

Last weekend we fulfilled a lifelong dream of mine...going to a maple syrup festival.

First stop...the pancake house for pancakes and bacon with maple syrup, of course. 

We checked out the sugar shack...

...walked through the woods...

...and sampled some more maple syrup.

They had a petting zoo and pony rides. The ponies were no Li'l Sebastian but they sure were cute!

My favourite thing to see was this hut - looked like it would make a really cool fort.

Great way to welcome spring and celebrate the sap running! A dream come true.
